Shot Control Valves
What is the function of a Shot Control Valve and how do you adjust this valve for improved blast cycle time?
This is where you adjust the flow of abrasive to the shot wheels to increase or decrease the amperage of the wheel motors. The more amperage the more abrasive flow. On a pneumatic valve there is adjustment screw that operates and abrasive stop to open and close the valve allowing more or less abrasive to enter the wheel. On an electronic valve known as a magna valve this is done with an electro magnet which meters the abrasive flow.
